Blog tours are a useful way for authors to promote their upcoming books, but not too many people seem to be actually utilizing this method. If you haven’t done any blog tours in the past, maybe you should consider them! They may seem like a lot of work, but once you know what they entail, they won’t seem as scary! The results are well worth the effort.
But what is a blog tour? Think of a blog tour as a press tour: it’s your book making the rounds across the internet, with several websites and blogs organized to release different content about your book to promote it.
However, not all books benefit equally from blog tours. Certain genres do better than others; it all depends on the audience your genre is in, if they frequent the websites that are promoting your book, etc. You’ll have to do your homework and research into it, but you should definitely consider organizing a blog tour if your book is the type of genre that works best with this kind of promotion!
