She brings over 15 years of experience working with educational institutions, universities, government agencies, and nonprofit organizations. Kandice attended the University of Chicago earning a B.A. in Psychology and M.A. in Teaching. She taught in elementary classrooms in Sacramento and Chicago before discovering new ways to utilize her teaching skills as a consultant. In 2019 she founded K. Cole Coaching and Consulting working. with a variety of clients including the University of Chicago’s Urban Teacher Education Program, Narrative 4, BUILD Initiative, and PowHer Consulting.
