Facebook is considering monthly subscriptions

After everything Facebook has gone through recently (becoming a major player in influencing the tide in the political realm, data leaks, algorithm changes, etc), the social media giant seems to be testing the waters of a monthly subscription by doing research to see if their users would be interested in paying a monthly fee in exchange for a more optimized experience.

The monthly subscription would include an ad-free experience which many would find beneficial as ads dominate the social media website, but it remains to be seen if it would also include no more data tracking for each subscriber.

It seems Facebook has been considering a subscription model in the past, but after its recent hardships and its loss of the public’s trust, Facebook seems to be moving forward with this idea.
