Dancing in the Rain: One Family’s Story of Faith, Strength, Courage and Love

by Karen and Mike Turnbull

What you hold in your hands is a true story. A story of one family's fight against the odds. One family's story of resiliency and determination. It is a true account of Mike Turnbull's battle with a rare and aggressive form of cancer. The story is told primarily through the eyes of Mike's wife Karen, and details how her and the Turnbull's two sons fight to keep joy in their lives. From Mike's career as a professional musician to being wheelchair bound after cancer spread to his brain stem, to becoming a five-time triathlete, this story is raw, unfiltered and, although at times unbelievable, all true. It is above all else a story about how faith, family, friends and the power of prayer continue to strengthen this family.

If I could give this book 10 stars I would! You are taken on the journey through a devastating diagnosis. This true story touched me to the soul. I felt so many emotions as I read this, and felt as if I was there with them through all of this. Don’t take anything for granted! And tell your family how much you love them often!

I loved this book and shared it with family and friends. I used it for personal inspiration and remembrance of my dear friend , Mike Turnbull’s, tenacity and strength in navigating his cancer journey.

Extraordinary book about an extraordinary family. This book reminds you what’s important in life, and how to always choose joy.

What we all know about rare cancers is the end result. Mike Turnbull passed away last month and nor from not trying to beat the disease with every fiber of their bodies. This story is a lesson for all, live and lovw each day as the last. The Turnbulls did that!

YThe strength, courage, love, and (above all) positive attitude that this family exhibits through such a tough and heartbreaking time in their lives will inspire any who reads it.

This is a magnificent story of a families perseverance and endurance through the darkest of days! But mostly out is about what real, abiding love looks like. I recommend everyone reads this incredible story.
